Back Pain & How to Treat it

Back pain! One of the curses of modern day living. The latest speculation from the USA is that 80% of people suffer from neck and or back pain at some time in their life. This is a frighteningly high figure and this fact has motivated an incredibly large amount of research into the management and prevention of back pain. It has motivated my special interest in the subject and my practice is a reflection of this. I did my MSc in lower back and pelvic pain.

So when you are in pain, what can I do to help you???

I offer an in depth assessment which covers your posture, muscle balance, ergonomics and lifestyle. Call to book your appointment; you need an hour for this.

I offer carefully devised physiotherapeutic strategies to relieve and manage your pain, as well as acupuncture to help you heal. I will use rehabilitation techniques that can empower you not only to help yourself to heal, but also to identify causative factors and know how to adjust them. These appointments will follow the assessment.

Posture is very hard to change. I offer visualisation strategies to effectively help you to change the way you stand, sit and load your spine. I am about to start the process of documenting these in a PHD, so people around the world can use them. Call to book a posture changing session or purchase a balance session from the web site.

If stress and poor work life balance or weight issues are contributing to your problem, then I have courses to help you to resolve these factors effectively. Sometimes managing stress and quieting your hectic mind is necessary to help you to find a place where you can be well and pain free. I can help you with this. Email us to book your place on one or more of these courses.

Headaches Are Truly Debilitating

Headaches are a huge affliction for many people and they are truly debilitating. Life is simply not much fun when you are in pain all the time. For many people the fact that they suffer from headaches means that they live on tablets which leave them feeling off colour and which also put their kidneys and liver under constant strain.

BUT if you are a headache sufferer, I have some solutions which work, to offer you, so read on....

Often the little joints at the very top of your neck are responsible for the pain of a headache. With careful and gentle mobilisation of these joints we can relieve this referred pain. I have a special interest in this form of physiotherapy and have spent many years studying ways to relieve this inflammation permanently.

Many people suffer headaches, because they grind their teeth and or clench their jaws. Manual therapy applied to the jaw can relieve this situation as long as it is coupled with mindfulness practice to change the habit. Call to book now on 0114630229.

I often call a headache a silent cry from an over burdened mind. If you are aware that your mind is constantly churning, then I can help you. Mindfulness practice and meditation can assist you, call now to book on Visualise your Brilliance, on 0114630229.

Poor posture can compress the structures at the base of the neck and unless you effectively change your posture, you will continue to squash these pain sensitive structures and create pain for yourself. So book now for a posture assessment and/or purchase a DVD showing you some visualisation techniques which effectively and permanently change your posture.

Why suffer, there is help at hand.... Call us now.

Headaches

Headaches are one of the most debilitating and hard to live with health issues and I have some suggestions many sufferers out there may not have tried. There are literally hundreds of known causes of headaches, and I can not cover all of those in this article. However many of the causes can be treated in the way I am going to describe and I just want you to know that taking drugs is not the only treatment that is available to you.
